A very nice looking game. Runs smooth and has an intuitive interface. However, the lack of a save feature and the fact that the final monster is way overpowered and impossible to beat make it too frustrating later on.

Mostly good, but the final level is way too hard. The extremely fast jumping speed makes it impossible not to get hit by the slow bullets, and those birds just have way too much health.
Not one of the better bullet hell games I've seen. My particular complaints are:
- There are no 'enemies' launching the bullets, or indeed any sort of indication about where the bullets will come from, so the first time you play a level, you can get caught right beside a bullet-firing point without any warning.
- The bullets often come in several very different colors simultaneously, making it unreasonably hard to keep track of them.
- Many of the graphical transitions take a long time to complete, for no obvious reason, which is frustrating when you know exactly what's going on and just want to get to the next screen quickly.
On the plus side, the graphics are smooth, and the music is decent without being distracting.
Good concept.
But, the gameplay really suffered due to the fact that collecting even one bullet of a different color would erase all the previous bullets you'd collected. Waiting around for the right color of bullet to reappear and then getting frustrated when you're at 99% and accidentally collect the wrong color is not the gameplay I would want or expect from this concept. It would be one thing if collecting different colors merely prevented you from using the ultra attacks, but actually erasing your previously collected bullets is just too cheap and annoying.
Excellent game! One of the best I've seen in Flash, and I've played hundreds.
I have a few serious complaints, though:
First, for some reason, I keep dying at a specific point (seems to be 23-10-2050). The ending message says it was due to starvation, but there was NO indicator in the reports beforehand that anything was wrong with the base, and it happens even if I have 90+ days of water, 40+ days of oxygen, 20+ days of fuel, and all base systems online. If I load the autosave for that day, clicking on 'reports' sends me straight to the ending message. I verified that the catastrophe happened on a single day with no warning, by going to the nearby asteroid cluster (which I can reach in 1 day) repeatedly and checking the reports every day.
Second, at one point I was attacked by pirates who stole every single piece of cargo and money, and the following day, it said that I had negative oxygen, water and fuel. Obviously there was no way to recover and I had to reload, but it seems kind of silly to have negative of anything.
I've give 4.5 if the glitches were fixed, and possibly 5 if the UI elements were improved (I'm mostly thinking of combat hitboxes and the market interface; a 'sell all' button for each commodity would be nice).
This is the real green_meklar. I'm mostly on Newgrounds to play browser games and publish my own. See my website for more information about me.
